Personal Log is not a free program, however, it is shareware. It may be distributed freely in its UNREGISTERED form as long as this document is included. In no way shall unregistered copies be sold at any price, but this package (Personal Log and this document) may be included in the "pay for the media" shareware distribution methods (such as, but not limited to, CD-ROM archives) as long as Michael F. Kamprath, author of Personal Log, receives a free copy of the distributed media. Local user groups who sell shareware disks at their meetings are excluded from this limitation. Registered copies are the private property of the people who have paid for them, and they may not be distributed in any way. Reselling private copies is limited to single licensed copies and may not be sold for more than the shareware fee. Please notify Michael F. Kamprath when a license has been transferred so that a new password can be issued. Use of site licenses are limited to computers owned by the holder of the license, i.e., an employee at the company which owns a site license may not use Personal Log on his or her personal computer at home—the employee should purchase an individual license.
Personal Log, which is fully functional in creating and maintaining log files, is disabled somewhat in its unregistered format -- it does not let you print entries or save them as text files. In other words, it does not allow you to “communicate” with the “outside world.” Thus, to enable Personal Log’s printing and text file saving capabilities, please register your copy.

The site license rate is $350 for 25 to 100 copies, and $750 for more than 100 copies. Please send payments in the form of checks or money orders made payable to Michael F. Kamprath. If you are outside the United States, please make sure before sending your payment that your check or money order is cashable at a U.S. bank for the proper amount. If you cannot send a check cashable in the U.S., please send U.S. currency. (However, I do not recommend this).
If you are a registered user of version 1.0.x of Personal Log, your upgrade to version 1.5 is free! In fact, the password I issued to you for version 1.0.x work with version 1.5. If you want me to mail you a new disk with the current version, though, I ask that you send me $2 (again, U.S. currency please) in order to cover the cost of the disk and shipping.
Registered owners of Personal Log are entitled to discounted upgrades of future versions. At no time, though, shall the upgrad price be more than the difference between the price you paid for the current version and the price I am asking for the new version.

PLEASE BE AWARE that at times it may take me a while to respond to you. I am an officer in the United States Air Force, and at times I may get very busy and/or be out of town for an extended period of time. If it takes me more than 8 weeks to send you your registered copy of Personal Log, please feel free to place a stop on your check. I give you my word that I will place your registered copy in the mail the same day I cash your check. If your bank tells you that your check has been cashed, and you do not receive your copy of Personal Log after a reasonable amount of time, please contact me as soon as possible. The quickest way to contact me is through e-mail which I check daily when I am home. Given that warning, I do not foresee a situation arising in which I will take more than a week to respond to you. But you never know.
